Get2Shape does not give medical advice. Our calculators and diet plans give estimates for healthy adults. They are for general information and education only, and do not replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified health professional.
Our tools are estimates
- BMI is a screening number. It cannot tell muscle from fat and does not diagnose any condition.
- Body fat from a tape measure is usually within a few percent of a lab test, but can be further off for some people.
- Calorie and macro targets come from population formulas. Your real needs can be different.
- Food values are typical numbers. Real values change with recipe, oil and portion size.
- Diet plans are examples to show what a day could look like. They are not a personal prescription.
Please speak to a doctor first if you
- are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding
- are under 18 or over 65
- have diabetes, heart, kidney, liver or thyroid disease, high blood pressure, or any other long-term condition
- take regular medicine, especially for diabetes or blood pressure (low-carb, keto and fasting diets can change how these medicines work)
- are underweight, or have had an eating disorder
- plan to follow a very low calorie, keto or fasting diet
Eating disorders
If counting calories or weighing yourself makes you anxious, or you feel you cannot control your eating, please talk to a doctor or a local eating disorder helpline. You deserve support.
Emergencies
If you feel unwell, faint, have chest pain or any other worrying symptom, stop and get medical help straight away. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
No professional relationship
Using Get2Shape does not create a doctor-patient or dietitian-client relationship. Never ignore professional medical advice or delay getting it because of something you read here.
